Common Questions

Okay, so how much?

As each web project is vastly different, we can't give you an exact price until we've spoken to you and finalised most of the details. Our starting price for an 8-10 page static HTML is £349 inc vat. A dynamic site takes a lot more work, so will be more expensive. Once we've spoken to you and have come up with a plan of the web design project, we'll be able to give you a quote.

Static / Dynamic - Eh?

Static sites are those which are built using "plain" HTML and contain all their information within the page. Static pages generally don't require updating all that often. A typical example might be a "links" page on your site.

A dynamic site is one which loads in its data from somewhere external - it could be a database or some other file. These pages are generally used when the content needs to be kept fresh - the BBC News website or Amazon's product pages for example.

We can build your site in either of these ways depending on your requirements. If you're site isn't going to change much, we can build it quickly and simply in plain HTML. Or, if you need to keep the information fresh (daily news, stock levels etc.) then we can build you a basic application in the ASP.net programming language to allow you to do this.

If you have any questions, please contact us via the form on the contact page.

Will I be high up on Google?

We design each site to be search-engine friendly, so Google and the other search engines will be able to see the content of your site and index you from there. Getting a high ranking on Google has more to do with the content of your site than the design but we can work with you to optimise your content to get the best ranking we can.

Let's see some of your work then

A portfolio of our most recent projects can be found on the 'Our Work' page.

What about accessibilty?

All sites we build will conform to W3 guidelines for accessibility and will be coded in XHTML. We want to ensure that as many people as possible get to visit and enjoy your site, so accessibiliy is very important to us.

Can I ask you a question?

Of course, we'll be happy to answer any questions you have. Full contact details are available on the contact page.
